Lesson 1 told you Hinduism has no founder, no first day and no single book everyone must follow. That was accurate and it was unexplained. Fifty-nine lessons later you can say why: the traditions gathered under that name were never a single thing, and the name itself arrived from outside, from a river carried through another language, and was fitted over them by administrators, scholars and publishers who needed a category.
